On-Site Service Contracts

Automated can provide on-site repair and maintenance service throughout the Baltimore / Washington region. Contracts ranging from full service with preventive maintenance to labor only coverage are custom tailored to the specific needs of the customer. Response times ranging from Next Business Day to four (4) hour are available throughout the service area. Contact your Automated representative with your requirements.

Depot Service Contracts

When the equipment is located outside of the service area, Automated offers depot service contracts. The Lanham, MD service facility is equipped to quickly repair and return many types and models of printers and faxes. The large in-house stock of parts and knowledgeable technicians allows for a fast turn around on most repairs.

Time and Materials

In some cases, a contract is not the preferred method of receiving service. In those cases, Automated is happy to perform service on a time and materials basis. Charges are based on an hourly rate and parts used. Automated does not charge travel time or expenses in the service area. Labor charges are based on the time spent at the customer site. Labor rates vary according to the type of equipment being serviced. There is a one hour minimum across all categories. Please contact your Automated representative to receive labor rate information.

Warranty Service

Automated is an Hewlett Packard Authorized Support Provider. This allows HP warranty work to be performed directly by Automated. All of HP's current printing equipment, whether under the manufacturer's basic warranty or their extended warranty program, can be serviced by Automated. The manufacturer's warranty type varies according to the model and program. Contact HP or Automated for assistance with your warranty.

Preventive Maintenance

Routine preventive maintenance is crucial in keeping your equipment in proper working order. While the above programs are necessary, the desired result is that your printers and faxes never need repair service. As with all mechanical equipment, preventive maintenance is vital to reducing down time. Automated offers preventive maintenance as part of its service contracts and as a separate stand alone service. Your Automated representative can help develop a routine maintenance program for your equipment.

Component Repair and Supply

Automated stocks thousands of repair parts for many of the popular business printers and fax machines. Automated makes its extensive inventory of new and remanufactured parts available to those organizations with internal service departments. All of Automated's parts are covered with a 90 day warranty.

Cost Per Page

The operating costs of printers and fax machines is difficult to measure. A cost per page program allows the true maintenance and operation costs of the equipment to be paid on a monthly basis. By removing large annual invoices, the fluctuations in the budget are evened out resulting in more accurate forecasting. Cost per page programs can include repair and maintenance, toners and other supplies. Your Automated representative would be happy to work with you to cover your needs.

Set Up Installation and removal

The improper set up and installation of printers and fax machines can lead to expensive and time consuming service issues. Automated can provide delivery, installation and set up of your office machines. When the printers and fax machines reach their end of useful life, Automated can remove and dispose of the units in an environmentally proper manner. In some cases the used machine's salvage value will result in a credit to the customer.
